Chocolate Cake (2)

Quick And Easy Fudgey Chocolate Banana Bread

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas
1/2 a cup of sugar
1/4 cup of oil
1 cup of flour
3 tbsp of cocoa powder
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of baking soda
1/2 of milk
1 cup of chocolate chips or grated chocolate

Method

The riper the bananas are the better, if they are totally brown this also does not matter and is preferred. Mash the bananas in a bowl with the oil, blend if necessary to truly smoothen, add sugar, and repeat this process. If you prefer a mushier and lumpier bread do not blend the banana thoroughly. Sive in all your dry ingredients and fold the mixture over and over until thoroughly combined. Then add in your milk slowly and steadily as you mix and fold it in, pause before pouring in all of it if need be. Last but not least fold in your chocolate chips. Grease two bread tins and halve the mixture, pouring equal parts in each tin. If you have any other additions add them in now. Place in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees celsius, they take roughly 30 minutes to cook, however, we do recommend sticking a toothpick in, in order to check if they are cooked through.

Alternatively, it should be noted that if you want a fluffier and denser bread there is an additional way to bake it. Place a pot with water on the stove, in the pot place a cake stand, and place your cake pan in the pot. Place a lid over the pot and allow the cake to be steamed, this can take 40-50 minutes and creates a magnificently fluffy and rick cake. Ensure that you use the toothpick trick to test that the cake is cooked all the way through. You can feel free to try this method with other cakes as the steam cooking allows for an added fluffiness and extra moisture. This recipe can also be made into individual cupcakes, with added sprinkles and decor as you please. We quite like to serve it sliced with salted butter, some have enjoyed adding peanut butter and additional spreads. Good luck and enjoy it.
